As I’m wrapping up the trip and heading back to NY and then CT, I thought a reblog might be nice. This is from 2010. Just something I was thinking about lately.
I don’t think I believe in forever.
I think I believe in for now.
Anyway, it seemed to fit my thoughts lately, so I dug this blog post out of my archives. It’s about how we change and dreams change. And somehow it all seems to work.

Distinguishing between the realistic and the unrealistic is always the trick, isn’t it? We learn to get better at it as we get older. I think you’re right, too, about changing. Nice post, and I love the seashells.

Thanks. The shells were gathered in San Diego at Cardiff-By-The-Sea. It is tricky sometimes you just have to ask why does this matter to me and then go with your gut.

Mmmmm…yeah…I’ve had to let go of a lot of dreams. I know some of them had to do with growth and change, and some just because the opportunities were never there. But fortunately, I still have a lot of dreams left, and hopefully I can realize some of them.

I hope you realize them too! I think the dreaming is what moves us forward in life. Sometimes achieving the dream doesn’t happen, but that is just part of living. It’s finding the next dream and pursuing it that makes life worth living.
