Just breathe.

Been a stressful few days here. Asthma attacking. So much seems to require my attention all at once. Thought it might help to have a little mantra. Just breathe. ๐Ÿ™‚

I need to do that today as well. It’s time for a life change. Now to figure out how to do it.

  2. I have an asthma problem too which I control with Macrobiotic food intake. If you don’t mind me asking, have you ever considered an alternative method? I found it very handicapping and felt it was well worth the sacrifice, today I can live normally. I hope I haven’t intruded or traded on your privacy

    • That’s great that you can control your asthma with your diet.:) I have been under a lot stress in my personal and my writing life this past week. That’s my trigger. When I’m managing my stress, I don’t need the inhaler. It flares a few times a year. It’s just my body’s way of telling me to take a break and calm down. Which I am doing. ๐Ÿ™‚ So it should be fine in a week.

      • Wishing you the best of health, it is good to know your trigger, it is a way to getting control of it and managing it. Asthma is a easier reminder than other worse ones, I often thought my asthma was a blessing in disguise, I would’ve never been careful eating healthy had I not had it as a reminder, all the best ๐Ÿ™‚

  3. Sending you some Healing thoughts your way Kourtney, and you are added to my healing grid.. Love and Blessings.. Sue

Good mantra. Cute dog. But it looks like he’s picked up a nasty habit…

Take it easy. I hope the breathing clears up soon. I like the picture of your dog. Seems chilled ๐Ÿ™‚

  9. Hope your day today goes better, Kourtney! Great mix of photos ๐Ÿ™‚

Asthma drains you of energy, I know, when just to breathe is an effort, and laughing nearly kills you… Your mantra, calming and simplifying will help ๐Ÿ™‚

    • I was surprised by how wiped out I’ve been since the initial flare up on Sunday. And how easily I got winded this week. Then I realized how hard I’ve been working just to get air. So I’m cutting myself some slack and trying to do a little each day. ๐Ÿ™‚

  11. Breathing is always good – so is pausing once in a while.
My brother had asthma – used to turn blue, fall over…not good. Between that and my mom’s allergies, we lived on a pretty strict diet (now it’s called healthy lifestyle/organic eating – so guess it wasn’t such a bad thing after all).I do know that when he was stressed, he had attacks. And would be exhausted.
So try to be gentle with yourself.
Lovely pictures ought to help…especially the pooch!

    • Yes. Sometimes you get so keyed up, you think you can keep going at that speed forever. Until something stops working. ๐Ÿ™‚
Oh dear, you’re poor brother. I feel for him. Mine’s never been that bad. It does tire me out a lot though. Today I managed to get a bit of work done on the book. I feel a little more alert. It’s been 3 days of R&R.

Thanks. I just wanted to remind myself to stop and look and pay more attention to the world and to my body. ๐Ÿ˜‰

      He’s a darling boy. ๐Ÿ™‚

Breathing is something we all need to do more. Stress is a killer, and we need to keep it at moderate levels, which is hard to do in today’s world. Take care of yourself and have some play time with Emerson! ๐Ÿ™‚

        • Agreed. ๐Ÿ™‚ Stress takes such a toll on our bodies. Thanks. I’ve been sleeping lots and trying to limit my work. It’s definitely helping. The inhaler is doing its job too. ๐Ÿ™‚ Aw I will. I cuddled with his a lot this week. But he wants to fight and frolic.

I hear you. I’m doing a lot of just breathing lately. Take care.

  13. aaaw I want the same puppy.
And I should breathe too. ๐Ÿ™‚ I’m so stressed out I have mouth ulcers. Ahhhh I want a vacation!! lol
Thanks for sharing these beautiful pics, Kourtney. ๐Ÿ™‚

    • He’s been with me 8.5 years. Best dog I’ve ever known. ๐Ÿ™‚ Ugh, those are so painful. Try to take a break if you can. Your body might be nicer to you if you do. ๐Ÿ˜‰
Glad you liked the pics. They made me happy when I took them and when I look at them now. ๐Ÿ™‚
